Mikeatsc, your addition violates Wikipedia:Verifiability. "Articles should rely on reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy." Contradiction tag

The contradiction tag is being removed. There is no contradiction between the statement that fingerprint identification is useful to law enforcement and then say that it is not useful in a specific commercial application (school lunch line) in which the fingerprint image is not retained by the system.
