I added the communities of Long Beach Township, since they tend to operate as individual entities; and are commonly referred to as such by the locals to Long Beach Island. -- Thisisbossi 22:34, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
I added the part about fragmentation. I'm not sure how to cite source -- look at the map already on the page! It shows the four fragments. I used the National Geographic Road Atlas and Google Maps to verify which places within the Township are in which of the four fragments.
The article on South Hackensack cites that township's uniqueness in being fragmented in three parts, but doesn't cite Long Beach and its four. Isdnip ( talk) 17:46, 21 November 2007 (UTC)User:isdnip
