Consensus to merge has been reached. However, there is quite substantial work in integrating the formats of the lists, so pinging participants to help with actually merging: @ Historyday01: @ ClaudineChionh: @ Phoebe: @ Jessamyn: @ Nathanielcwm: Felix QW ( talk) 12:17, 9 February 2022 (UTC) reply

I propose to merge List of fictional librarians into Libraries and librarians in fiction. In my opinion, the content in this page is well-sourced enough that moving it into the other article, which has a more streamlined format, with categories and such, will be better and prevent duplication, as these two pages cover almost the same content. -- Historyday01 ( talk) 13:18, 8 September 2021 (UTC) reply

Maybe? I want to see where this merger proposal goes from here, and if there are very few responses, then I'd be willing to do that. -- Historyday01 ( talk) 22:26, 8 November 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Support - I'd move the list into the Libraries and librarians in fiction article first, and then consider a merge to the popular culture article, which is a bit denser and not just about fiction. At the very least narrowing it down to two articles would be good though! -- phoebe / ( talk to me) 18:29, 11 November 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Support - I like the 1, 2 proposal that phoebe puts forth. Get the first article sorted and then consider a secondary merge. Jessamyn ( talk) 20:31, 11 November 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Support: I can't see why both of these exist simultaneously. I oppose merging into Librarians in popular culture without a rewrite as these 2 articles are written in a list format and the former is written in a prose. - nathanielcwm ( talk) 12:23, 22 January 2022 (UTC) reply
