For 1993 to the present, the sources are the annual AMPAS press releases indicating the films submitted by the National Film Federation of each country. For 1969-1993, the source is an inquiry to the Margaret Herrick Library at AMPAS in Los Angeles. Adtran 06:55, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
mother india, salaam bombay and laaan have only been nominated among all submissions from india.

The image File:Mother India poster.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
