Sex-positive / Sex-positive feminism thoughts

Hi, I was wondering what people thought about Lily Allen relating to the sex-positive movement and sex-positive feminism. In the following article - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-54712504 - Lily Allen discusses her views on female masturbation. From what I can see it seems her views match that of the sex-positive movement and/or sex-positive feminism. Another person in the interview mentions about talking to her friends about sex positivity. However, the article doesn't explicitly mention that Lily Allen supports the sex-positive movement or is a sex-positive feminist. I have tried to look for articles about her discussing sexuality that explicitly say she supports sex-positivity or sex-positive feminism but I can't find any well-known reliable sources that explicitly mention that she supports these views. I would like to add a section about Lily Allen to the page sex-positive movement and/or sex-positive feminism if applicable, however I think using this source or the other well-known reliable sources I've seen that discuss her views on this would fall under breaking the WP:SYNTHESIS rule as I cannot find any that specifically say she supports these views. Both of these two pages are currently heavily weighted to mentioning people from North America and from what I last saw mention few or no people outside this area that support these views. I was wondering what other people's views on this are and if anyone knows any reliable sources that state whether she supports sex-positivism and/or sex-positive feminism. Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated. Helper201 ( talk) 21:44, 1 November 2020 (UTC) reply

You're right about WP:SYNTH—we need quotes directly from her to say that she identifies as a sex-positive feminist or a wide range of reliable sources who use that specific term about her. Someone can hold very similar views to another person but label themselves differently. I don't think it's appropriate to mention her on the other pages you mention but we can maybe talk a bit more about the Womanizer product and what she has said in connection with the topic, since I've seen it getting a lot of media attention. Sex, masturbation and feminism are topics she talks about in My Thoughts Exactly but I think it's already covered in more than enough detail at that article. — Bilorv ( talk) 22:05, 1 November 2020 (UTC) reply
Thanks for the reply. Please let me know if you see any reliable sources that report her as being sex-positive, a sex-positive feminist, or supportive of these views. Helper201 ( talk) 22:32, 1 November 2020 (UTC) reply

These are both tabloids, so unreliable - see WP:RSP. — Bilorv ( talk) 11:19, 30 January 2022 (UTC) reply
So she gave up for a month, two years ago? But she had started smoking again 6 years before that? Errm, how about now? Martinevans123 ( talk) 15:30, 30 January 2022 (UTC) reply

Lead photograph

It would be better if the lead photograph was one without a hand and mike in the way, and showed Allen's full face. Ciridae ( talk) 08:15, 18 February 2023 (UTC) reply

(For reference: at time of writing the infobox image is here.) @ Ciridae: all other things being equal, yes it would. Of the free images we currently have available, do you think any are better? I can see some candidates but each comes with its own disadvantages: Option 1 (eyes closed, facing right); Option 2 (10 years old; slightly strange pose/angle in my opinion). — Bilorv ( talk) 19:55, 21 February 2023 (UTC) reply

She says: She gave up her career for her children

I have only a German language source ( https://www.msn.com/de-de/unterhaltung/other/lily-allen-meine-kinder-haben-meine-karriere-zerstört/ar-BB1jLowP) for it, but the en wikipedia pageviews ( https://pageviews.wmcloud.org/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&redirects=0&start=2024-02-01&end=2024-03-12&pages=Lily_Allen ) indicate that there must be English sources as well. -- 2003:6:33AE:3D28:6829:9C0D:8DA8:2619 ( talk) 15:35, 13 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Yeah, as that source says the quotes are from a Radio Times podcast. Lots of derivative sources; I've added CNN. — Bilorv ( talk) 19:13, 17 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Myspace, Regal Recordings

In the BBC Podcast, "Miss Me?", released on 14th March 2024, the Wikipedia article Lily Allen is discussed by its subject. An edit should probably result. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0hjdmk1

Wikipedia - "Her musical career began in 2005 when she published her vocal recordings on the social networking site Myspace; their popularity resulted in airplay on BBC Radio 1 and led her to sign with Regal Recordings.

Miss Me?, 8:25 - "Not quite true. I actually was signed to Regal Recordings before I set up the Myspace - but, you do you, Wikipedia." 81.105.46.48 ( talk) 18:24, 15 March 2024 (UTC) reply
