Largest living flying birds according to wingspanLargest living flying birds by wingspan – Per WP:CONCISE and WP:PRECISE/ WP:RECOGNIZABLE. This barely comes across as proper English, as "according to" normally refers to a source of information/claims/beliefs (e.g. "according to Encyclopaedia Britannica" or "according to John Cleese" or "according to Zen Buddhist doctrine"). To the extent this particular usage has any currency at all (maybe it's common in some dialect I'm not steeped in), it's certainly unnecessary verbiage when "by" will do, and is what we normally use in articles that are lists of X that are the most/least Y by criterion Z.  —  SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  16:29, 20 March 2021 (UTC) reply
