KTAR split
KTAR-AM and KTAR-FM are less than four weeks to a major split. Here is what will happen to the articles (note the creation of redirects KTAR-AM and KTAR-FM, which is related to this):
First, at my sandbox
KXRM2, a draft of
KTAR-AM will be created. The content in
KXRM4 will be a KTAR-FM draft. The first portions of each will concern the property before the split;
KKFR info will be in
KTAR-FM, with
KTAR-FM info in
KTAR-AM; then the second portions will concern the property whose format it inherited, with
KTAR-AM info in the
KTAR-FM article and
KMVP information in the
KTAR-AM article. This will likely require something like substed templates. In addition,
KTAR will become a disambiguation page (draft at
KXRM2Talk, which is in the User talk space but is not a talk page in practice); this page will list the KTAR radio stations as well as KTAR-TV, now
KPNX.
KKFR will also see changes, too: it's more than likely that a link to
KTAR-FM will top the article, because of callsign modifications. The drafts will kick in later in the month, and the changes will come in on 1 January to coincide with the actual radio split.
