New article

I've just started this stub. Feel free to develop it. I have in mind some more text on the epidemiology of specific disorders; access to mental health services; differences and changes in prescribing patterns; problems such as suicide; the influence of age and gender; more on the socio-economic determinants.

Here are some papers I haven't got round to using yet:

  • Rutter M. Isle of Wight revisited: Twenty-five years of child psychiatric epidemiology. Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. 1989; 28:633–653.
  • Andrews JA, Lewinsohn PM. Suicidal attempts among older adolescents: prevalence and co-occurrence with psychiatric disorders. Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. 1992; 31:655–662
  • Prevalence and Development of Psychiatric Disorders in Childhood and Adolescence E. Jane Costello, PhD; Sarah Mustillo, PhD; Alaattin Erkanli, PhD; Gordon Keeler, MS; Adrian Angold, MRCPsych Arch Gen Psychiatry. 2003;60:837-844
  • Angold A, Costello EJ. Developmental epidemiology. Epidemiol Rev 1995;17:74–82
  • Costello EJ. Developments in child psychiatric epidemiology. J Am Acad Child Adolesc Psychiatry 1989;28:836–41
