I believe that the inclusion of the Tom Scott information here is not appropriate per WP:NOTTRAVEL. For instance, the page on the Eiffel Tower does not include the popular culture representations on that page, instead creating that on a separate page. I suppose that may be because of the amount of popular references, but the point stands that the inclusion of the Tom Scott information does not contribute to a greater understanding of the subject of the page in my opinion, and is merely distracting from the topic itself. The inclusion, in my opinion, borders on violating WP:PROMOTION. Even though I am a fan of Tom Scott as well, I do not believe this is an appropriate piece of information to include. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts. I didn't want to remove the new info since it may get edit-war-y.
