I am quickfailing this building off this discussion (diff as of this edit). Specific concerns about GA criteria:

• Lacks stability ( WP:GAFAIL criteria 4)
• Some GA criteria are not close to standard and because of the debate and contention around this article topic cannot be addressed in the course of a normal GA review ( WP:GAFAIL criteria 1). Specifically:
  • The length of the article and repeated discussions and splits shows this article does not currently meet GA criteria 3b ("it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail)
  • Source concerns (including overreliance on Primary rather than Secondary sourcing) shows the article does not current meet GA criteria 2b ("all inline citations are from reliable sources, including those for direct quotations, statistics, published opinion, counter-intuitive or controversial statements that are challenged or likely to be challenged, and contentious material relating to living persons")

I will note that I did some level of image review and it appears that the images are GA compliant although some work could be done to make appropriate use of the alt parameter (which is sometimes omitted and sometimes the caption itself), though this is not actually a GA requirement for GA criteria 6. A peer review might be more helpful in gaining the desired feedback in other ways this article could be improved while it works towards addressing the issues which caused the quickfail (stability being one where it might simply have to be the passage of time).
