WP:BIO and WP:AUTHOR

Before moving this article over from draft I made sure it would meet WP:BIO and WP:AUTHOR

There are already several reliable independent secondary sources in the references with significant coverage (some are "fully" secondary, while some include interviews), eg:

There are some other sources references as well, including non-independent ones, but those are irrelevant to notability.

I do intend to continue expanding the article, and will add more sources as needed, but this should be sufficient to remove the notability template.

I've added further sources, including academic research that has cited this person's work. — siro χ o 06:33, 24 February 2023 (UTC) reply

Partly reverting removal of references

I'm partly reverting this edit. I've removed some of the repeat inline citation usage to address any potential OVERCITE concerns, but the references are still valuable, so I've preserved them. — siro χ o 02:40, 6 April 2023 (UTC) reply

autism rights advocate/activist

Hi @ Siroxo:

First of all, thank for starting the article! I've translated it to the German Wikipedia, where I it received a lot of scrutiny and valuable feedback. Over time, I plan to translate the expanded sections and include them in the English version.

One small part of the article I had to remove in the translated version was the notion that Price is an autism rights activist or advocate, as there was no source for it. This is why I removed it from the introduction here as well. I understand that Price writes in the tradition of autistic self-advocacy but he doesn't seem to be (perceived as) an advocate/activist for the rights of autistic people, rather as raising awareness and advocating for acceptance.

It might very well be that I'm missing something, though. Do you have a source for that claim?-- TempusTacet ( talk) 11:01, 15 April 2023 (UTC) reply

Hi! Thanks for your updates to this article, I'm excited to see what more comes. That's a good point about not being actually documented as involved in autism rights. While it certainly feels right, and Price makes note of autism rights in his more recent book, it's not actually sourced by a third party that I know of. So, looking again, I think it's ok to remove the "autism rights" note from the introduction. I'd only ask that you keep the "He is best known for" sentence in some form, so that the intro provides that information to the reader. Thanks for reaching out! — siro χ o 07:35, 18 April 2023 (UTC) reply
Thanks for the response! Personally, I agree that it "feels" right and depending on what Price's up to next, we might see official recognition of him as an autism rights advocate.-- TempusTacet ( talk) 09:42, 18 April 2023 (UTC) reply
