Request Edit November 19th

I work for WhiteHatWiki.com, which is a paid consultant to YouTube Originals. Since I have a conflict of interest, I am submitting this for review by independent editors, as instructed on the Contact Us [1] page for the subjects of articles or their reps to request corrections and updates. I will not directly edit the article as instructed on WP: PAID.

1. Please update the first paragraph of the lead with:

Bear Witness, Take Action is a YouTube Original series of specials that premiered on YouTube on June 13, 2020, with the second special, Bear Witness, Take Action 2: Continuing The Movement, set for December 5, 2020. [1] [2] The series is part of YouTube’s initiative to support Black creatives, and to address racial inequity and civil unrest in America following the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. [1] Hosted by Keke Palmer and Common, the first program featured roundtable discussions on racial inequities led by media personalities Soledad O’Brien and Roland Martin. [2] It also featured testimonials and performances from celebrities including John Legend, Sterling K. Brown and Kerry Washington. [3] The one-and-a-half-hour long livestream centers around the history and experiences as people of color in America, as well as exploring ways to raise awareness and end inequality. [1] Palmer and Common are also hosting the second event. [2] [4]

Explanation: Updates lead to make evergreen, correcting error that this was a one-time event. Clarifies hosts and roles of celebrity participants, and structure of the program. Removes participants I couldn't find mentioned after an extensive search for supporting secondary sources. Adds reliable sources to support the entry. Adds source from The Grio, which is more reliable than current source in article. Removes a bit of subjective language.

2. Delete:

“On November 17, 2020, it was announced that a second teleconference titled Bear Witness, Take Action 2: Continuing The Movement will premiere on December 5, 2020.”

Explanation: if the changes in the first request are made, this is superfluous.

Oceans87, I salute you for understanding the COI policy. However I find your edit request not really changing anything.
First, you mentioned it a "special." I don't see how it is a "special": it is a YouTube Original program. I think teleconference fits it, along with the description of a livestream. It is spot-on, and is supported by sources in addition.
Second, I don't understand the changing of casts featured in the lead. We don't have to list all casts, just some that can give an insight to what it is about. The livestream itself has no specific structure: it just kinda go from one stuff to another, without establishing any dominant part. So it is controversial and disputable if we say that it is "led" by Soledad, when it seemed like Soledad is there for an interview, not for leading the stream.
Third, I don't understand how the second paragraph makes it seem like it is a "one-off" event. The YouTube team did not, initially, revealed wills to make a sequel, so it is considered that they just want to make one. The second was announced to the "oh, wow" of the general public. I feel like the tone is already right and no change is necessary.

Hi Gerald_Waldo_Luis. Thanks for your quick response!
1.Regarding the first sentence in the lead, it has a big mistake that was not obvious when you wrote the article - it’s not your fault but it should be corrected. This was not a one-time event, as the article now states -- it did happen the first time on the date specified, but it is happening on December 5 again. [1]
2. I understand why you don’t want to say “special” -- but “teleconferences” isn’t accurate at all -- teleconferences aren’t broadcast events or open to the public to watch. I looked at the secondary sources and here are the ways it is described in by independent editorials : “special,” “special forum,” and “fundraising event.” [2] [1] [3]
3. Regarding the cast who you listed, I tried but was unable to find reliable secondary sourcing for all the participants in the second sentence in the lead: “... such as Patrisse Cullors, Rashad Robinson, Alicia Garza, Prince Ea...” But, I was able to find strong supporting secondary sources for the other names I mentioned in the proposed revision.
4. The secondary editorial sources all say that Soledad O’Brien and Roland Martin were the “moderators” who “led discussions” at the event. [2] [1] [4]
