References and Sources

Either the footnotes that make up the References section should be complete, and the Sources section should be omitted, or the footnotes should be short (see WP:CITESHORT and Help:Shortened footnotes) and the full information should be in the Sources section. This article's approach is therefore incorrect, since it takes neither of these approaches. As a result, there is massive duplication/unnecessary information.

The article War of the Spanish Succession has a similar problem, except the footnotes related to Lynn use the shortened footnote approach, while the other footnotes do not. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 19:27, 18 February 2019 (UTC) reply
