I'm not sure that Henry should be listed here. For one thing he's still an active player so it feels odd. The other thing is that after scanning his article on Wikipedia I didn't see anything that said he's still an Arsenal supporter. If it's only that he made his career with Arsenal is the reason for listing him, I don't see that's justified. SQGibbon ( talk) 00:45, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
The source quoted for the "27 million" figure is now a dead link [1]. I've been unable to find anything else online that estimates the number of fans Arsenal has. Any suggestions? SQGibbon ( talk) 20:44, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Darren Sammy (West Indies cricket captain) stated in an interview about his team's interest in the conclusion to the 2011/12 Premier League season (shown at 14.35 on 14 May 12) that he is an Arsenal fan. (He was referring to the reaction of MU fans in the West Indies squad, but stated that he personally was an Arsenal fan who wanted City to win the title.) Currently no web refs to back this up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.157.211 ( talk) 14:02, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
So the article was kept, I can see the article being a decent article if done right. But I sware the whole section Notable supporters is listcraft devrived from tabloid which can't always be factful and has to go. Can I put that to a vote.
I say delete as per what I stated above. Govvy ( talk) 14:36, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Seriously, another fan added, this time it's Francois Hollande. How in what why is that true? As Arsenal News own website says, it's a fan site. [2] [3] He is obviously wearing an Arsenal top, because he was given it as a gift, this doesn't make him an Arsenal fan! Govvy ( talk) 12:18, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
In the source provided [4] Holtby is quoted in saying "My father is English and of course my favourite teams are Everton and Arsenal." Does that say he supports them? I am not sure if it does or not. Govvy ( talk) 23:36, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

User Govvy appears to be vandalising this page. He/she has been removing names from the list of Arsenal supporters. Whilst there is merit in some of his/her removals, some seem to be quite aggressive. He/she removed George Saunders with no explanation ( https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Arsenal_F.C._supporters&diff=746273756&oldid=746162148) and has removed other entries due to broken/invalid links when a quick internet search would have yielded a valid citation. I invited him/her to discuss Harry Kane on this page but my request was ignored. I raised my point of view here regarding Harry Kane and I am open to removal but I think it needs a proper discussion first. Govvy's page states that he/she is a Tottenham fan so I would think it's fair to say that he/she may not have the best interests of this Wikipedia entry at heart. 200.118.133.162 ( talk) 22:16, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
Govvy is a Tottenham Hotspur fan, should he be deciding edits on pages concerning Arsenal? By definition he is an Arsenal hater, or should be being tottenham; as all spurs fans should be, same as we Gooners hate spurs, it's natural and traditional, but being one or the other does not lend one to neutrality, I would rule myself out of editing any spurs page as I know nothing about them and do not want to. Treated very aggressively by Govvy for editing a page about the football team he should hate, and I love. Unfair. GoonerNut ( talk) 18:15, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
Is there no qualifiers for what celeb should be included on the list? Govvy ( talk) 20:46, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Mail on Sunday is basically the Daily Mail, the Royal Family members on the list, should these citations be removed per WP:DAILYMAIL? That would mean finding other sources or removing them from the list. The article The Queen is a self-confessed Arsenal fan, quotes The Sun as their source and as many people know The Sun can also be unreliable. Thoughts people? Govvy ( talk) 11:25, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
Should be removed per WP:LISTCRUFT, WP:TRIVIA and WP:NOTINDISCRIMINATE. Consensus above was against its inclusion. Previous discussions at WikiProject Football have also reached this consensus (see here or here). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.146.244.56 ( talk) 17:21, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
I say remove as unencyclopedic trivia as argued above. Additionally:
The list already has consensus to be removed, and I believe consensus has been reached here as I too believe this list should be removed. I'm going to remove the list, acting upon said discussions; should anyone disagree, an rfc should be opened in another section below. Idiosincrático ( talk) 02:30, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
Removing a 10 year+ article that has hundreds of additions on the basis of a seldom-looked at "talk" page is RIDICULOUS. Please analyse your decisions before erasing the hard work of more than 3,000 contributors & 800 references. If you would like to instead be constructive, and create this ""carte blanche of what identifies as a supporter"" yourself, and argue who may or may not be a supporter, then that is a far more appropriate way to proceed.
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
