Cake

Doesn't "american pie" also refer to a special kind of apple cake, or is this a misconception on my behalf? 134.91.141.39 ( talk) 10:35, 20 November 2008 (UTC) reply

Yeah, there should be definitely a link to the food itself. Perhaps that article is not called "American pie", as Americans don't call it "American" - however, the English language is by no means restricted to the USA. -- NetRolller 3D 15:07, 2 January 2009 (UTC) reply
However, the Apple cake article makes no mention of this term. If a (preferably referenced) mention is included in that article, then the item can be restored to this page. -- ShelfSkewed Talk 04:57, 25 January 2009 (UTC) reply
I agree that if American Pie refers to/is associated with/derived from "typically" American apple pie, that should be in there. But not being a native speaker (or rather not having expert knowledge of US cuisine) and all I couldn't quite muster the courage to actually add something in that direction. All I can say is that me personally, I had always thought of it as either apple or cherry pie, in any case I definitely have a certain kind of pie in mind... American pie... 84.44.185.172 ( talk) 01:37, 14 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Apple pie

i was gonna say exactly what 134.91.141.39 said above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by THE raymond chang ( talkcontribs) 13:26, 4 February 2011 (UTC) reply

And I'll say what I said 2 years ago: There is still no mention of "American pie" in the Apple cake article. Improve that article by adding a referenced description or mention of "American pie", and then we can list the article here.-- ShelfSkewed Talk 15:15, 4 February 2011 (UTC) reply
