@ Whispyhistory, Philafrenzy, and Cwmhiraeth: apologies for the late pulling of this as I was reviewing the queue set, and I hope I'm not being out of line here, but I agree with TJMSmith's comment above regarding the hookiness of this one. For a nurse with a seemingly storied career during the second world war, it seems odd to be focusing on how low her curtsy was.
