Akron, Ohio received a peer review by Wikipedia editors, which is now archived. It may contain ideas you can use to improve this article. |
User:Vjmlhds has reverted an edit in order to re-insert the following:
LeBron James Family Foundation
In the later part of his career, Akron native and NBA star
LeBron James began numerous public and charitable initiatives in the city with his LeBron James Family Foundation.
[1]
[2]
Among these endeavors include:
[3]
[4]
* I Promise Institute at the
University of Akron
[6]
* I Promise Village (housing complex)
[7]
* House Three-Thirty (community center/retail plaza)
[8]
* I Promise Health Quarters (medical center)
[9]
The
LeBron James Family Foundation is not notable, and most of the places listed are not notable. This is puffery and
WP:UNDUE. The input of others would be appreciated.

In general, this article is about the city and not meant to be a place to list worthy causes of rich people. The LeBron James Family Foundation section should be removed. It might be ok to add a small amount of text in the education section for the I Promise School and I Promise Institute but that is it. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 19:15, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
'I really couldn't be more proud': Akron gets first new tire plant in more than 70 years Seems notable but not sure where it should go in the article. Mapsax ( talk) 03:09, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
User:Synotia has added this photo of LeBron James to the article. My concerns is that "Images must be significant and relevant in the topic's context, not primarily decorative. They are often an important illustrative aid to understanding", per MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE. I'm not sure how a photo of a professional athlete--taken in some other city---is relevant to an article about a US city, or how it is an illustrative aid to understanding the city of Akron. The image is decorative and should be removed. Magnolia677 ( talk) 11:12, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
