why can't you...

Why don't you add more information to this article?

Wikipedia allows anyone to edit: including you! As more editors (registered and unregistered) visit this site, more of them will want to add information to it. By the way, you should sign your comments by adding four tildes (~~~~). Emmett5 01:57, 23 May 2006 (UTC) reply

This article lacks any sources, seems to be highly constructed of original research, and appears to be devoid of neutrality in several places; it seems to need attention from an expert.-- LunarMoon 04:14, 3 July 2006 (UTC) reply

I'm going to work on this page a bit. I'm not an expert, but I did take a 400-level course on it, and have a few books to work off of. Searles2sels (PJ) 23:28, 18 December 2006 (UTC) reply

sigh..... i found the same unproven facts in this section too. You'd think that with the abundance of psychiatrists etc. etc. etc. there'd be SOMEONE editing this who actually knows what they're doing. I suggest putting protection on both the articles on adolescents AND adolescent psychology until an expert can put in scientifically proven facts and data.

THIS is a highly controversial subject and who knows HOW many people are coming to this wiki page to look for answers. So we have to give them the answers... not opinions... 66.212.201.26 05:53, 4 January 2007 (UTC) reply

The section on issues specific to adolescents ALSO includes 'facts' on teen maturation that tend to go off into teen sexuality WHICH are already mostly in the main adolescent article and are are of dubious validity/origin.

I'm removing the extra unneeded paragraph due to most of it (What hasn't been corrected yet or doesn't need to be) Being in the main article on adolescents,

 yours truly,

Adolescents' Opinions on the Article

149.69.128.195 23:36, 13 March 2007 (UTC)I am an adolescent and I came to this site to see if my depression is somewhat normal or if I'm the only one. The fact that it even mentioned teen depression is a GOOD thing. A lot of teens that have depression do have a hard time making friends. You people that have a problem with that fact must have been the kind of people that were always happy and always had your own friends surrounding you. Just because you don't think it's true because it didn't happen to you or the people around you doesn't mean it doesn't happen. -Rachael reply

I came here for reasons similar to Rachael's. While I don't think the lack of substance is because the editors had faultless lives, I agree that this article really needs improvement. Much of this stuff steers dangerously close to stereotypes without even clearly explaining any whys behind it, as I think psychology is supposed to do (as in I don't know what constitutes psychology :P). I wish I could help improve it, but, as I said before, I came with questions, not answers.... 99.28.3.29 ( talk) 03:15, 14 April 2011 (UTC) reply
