I hadn't seen his biography. The fact that he is described as English there, rather than British, is simply strange to me and I wouldn't put any weight on it. As a matter of fact, he was described as British until very recently, for instance in
this version of the article, and I am going to undo the change from "British" to "English", as there seems no proper justification for it. Feel free to restore the edit covered by
WP:NAMB.
