Dear Hoary: Thanks for your feedback. The paintings were done by Zoe Longfield in the 1940s/50s but they are currently in my possession and the photographs were taken by me. (Separate images of two of these paintings, taken by another photographer, have been published in the Women of Abstract Expressionism book, which is in my reference list.) How do I properly cite these images for the wiki page? Also, please advise if/how I can cite primary source material taken from her archives. Thanks for your help. How do I properly cite these images for the wiki page?We don't cite images. There is the issue of who owns the copyright of the images (typically the photographer, not the subject, unless they're a faithful reproduction of a work of art, in which case it's the artist). You're invited to clarify that at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_related_to_Zoe_Longfield
/how I can cite primary source material taken from her archives? You can use {{ Cite archive}}. We prefer published sources, but sometimes archives can be used. We do need to know how to access those archives though. Please see WP:INDICATEAVAIL Vexations ( talk) 20:02, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

Before I got my grubby hands on what was then a draft:
Currently:
I might have got something wrong. I doubt that we can insert this photograph, but we can add a link to it.* If it's well/oft-published, it should be on the interwebs. But I can't find it. Can anyone provide a link to it?
* This may appear to contradict Vexations' request ("external links") above, but it does not. A note might say something like "The photograph is reproduced in [title, website, link, etc]". (Notes and references can and should be separated; for an illustration of this, see Teikō Shiotani.)

Susieall2012, I'm sorry that you didn't contact " VRT" in reaction to commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Files related to Zoe Longfield. The copyright status of the photographs showing her seems to have complexities; but if you are the copyright holder of her paintings (and I have no reason to doubt this) and were willing to contact VRT, then you could have the files of the paintings "undeleted" (restored) and indeed would be able to upload files of other works by her, and without risk of another deletion. -- Hoary ( talk) 22:15, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
