As far as her relationship with Scar goes, she was merely an adoring fan, not his mate. This is almost given fact, considering that towards the end of
The Lion King musical, Scar laments not having a queen and proceeds to court Nala (who turns him down).
It's not a verifiable fact. The Lion King musical can't be considered canon, for one Rafiki is female in the musical.
