This article contains a translation of Zetsuai 1989 from ru.wikipedia. |
Added summary of the first manga volume of Bronze, translated from corresponding article in Russian, but can't get the reference to show up on the main page.
Shouldn't this be moved to the full title of the manga, Zetsuai 1989? Snarfies 16:32, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
I've proposed the merge of all three soundtracks related to this series into one list. I've included Calekka because it is tied to the Captain Tsubasa doujinshi that Zetsuai is based on. -- Malkinann ( talk) 19:59, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
By the way, Russian article doesn't contain much information, as I've written it while being new to Wikipedia. Nothing really useful there. :) -- deerstop. 02:29, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
{{cite book | first= | last= | editor=Nicolas Finet | title=Dicomanga: le dictionnaire encyclopédique de la bande dessinée japonaise | publisher=Fleurus | language=French | location=Paris | isbn=978-2-215-07931-6 | year=2008}}
Shima Kadokura & Misato Kakizaki-Raillard, page 621:
"The nearly violent description of love between two men is a real revelation for the many females readers of this manga. [...] Zetsuai 1989 is one of the major works of the yaoi genre, created at a time where that category of comics barely reached recognition."
Comment: Nicolas Finet was the lead editor but the article was written by Shima Kadokura & Misato Kakizaki-Raillard. I don't know how to handle it properly with the cite template. -- KrebMarkt 07:34, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Why? what happens to Serika and Yugo? - They live separately. After parents' death Serika and Yugo got adopted, so they live with foster parents Hirouchi family. Hirouchi are Izumi's mother cousins (or something like it). In short, they are related to Izumi somewhow. It's been a while since I read Zetsuai, so I could mix up facts. If I remember correctly, Izumi never managed to love them, so he lives in his own apartament, got several part time jobs to pay the bills and etc. As for "why?" question, well, he got a puppy, which was not allowed. The night Koji passed out on a street, Takuto took not only him, but also a dog he found near Koji. His "landlady" warned him about pets, but he couldn't force himself to get rid of a dog. I suppose it won't be easy to explain in plot section. -- deerstop. 00:31, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
I didn't think so... :/ taking someone to bed would be suggestive, but putting someone to sleep has unfortunate implications. I had thought that putting him to bed would imply that Koji is not joining him and that it's in an innocent and caring fashion...? Bleh. Koji just forces Izumi to get some sleep for his own good, right? -- Malkinann ( talk) 00:37, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I guess information about Izumi's past and his mother would better fit in "Synopsis". Not sure about this matter. -- deerstop. 10:09, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
