I agree that this article could use some filling out, but I disagree that this term has somehow lost significance. It's my understanding that the televisions fears concerning zappers has lead to new marketing techniques, such as product placement IN television show, to combat zappers. Perhaps this battle between marketers and viewers could be developed. Also of significance, and perhaps relate, are what I'd call Super-Zappers--users of technology like TiVo.
