  • All Shuyuans were not imperial schools. Only Guoxue(Such as Taixue, Gouzijian) was imperial school, and it's the nation's central university, the highest institution of learning of China. In each dynasty there was only one imperial central school(Guoxue). As for Shuyuan, there were thousands of it (more than 7000 Shuyuan altogether).-- Acedulog 10:18, 13 July 2006 (UTC) reply
