Re: Mclennanjk's addition of August 4, I'm inclined to undo this. I'm wary of including 'notable families', unless it's comprehensive. Obviously 'notable' in this context has little to do with notability, but I'm not sure what criteria to use: earliest settlers, largest landholders?
