Also the inanity about the XB-19 having it's Allison's changed for R-3350s. It was the other way around. The Wright's were replaced by the Allison's resulting in the designation change to XB-19A. Mark Lincoln ( talk) 19:50, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
According to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum and the September issue of its magazine, a Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat warbird modified for Unlimited Class racing sports a Wright R-3350 rated at 4500 HP: http://www.airspacemag.com/history-of-flight/The-Bear-Is-Back.html Dick Kimball ( talk) 18:28, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
