Shouldn't this page very briefly include the primary meaning of the term? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot refers to W.T.F. (What The Fuck) spoken using the NATO phonetic alphabet ... something like that. -- 109.79.61.236 ( talk) 01:43, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
This page was moved from Whiskey Tango Foxtrot with the comment that it was a non-controversial move per discussion on the talk page, with a soft redirect being left in place under the old title. I'm having trouble finding the discussion so I can understand the rationale for the move, since every use of the term on the pager is in the proper (capitalized) form, as Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, not as Whiskey tango foxtrot.
If there's a good reason for the move, that's fine. I'm not seeing one on my own. Can someone point me in the right direction, or should this article actually be moved back, perhaps with a redirect from this variant usage back to the more common one? Just sign me: Confused. :) -- 107.134.242.248 ( talk) 18:11, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

Whiskey tango foxtrot → Whiskey Tango Foxtrot – All usages of this term have all initial caps. It is primarily a military lingo abbreviation for "WTF", and would have been capitalized if ever spelt out. All the usages here are proper name titles of films or television shows. There is no past disagreement about the proper title for disambiguation, as far as I can tell. There was first an article on the NCIS episode created at "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot", which was moved to Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (NCIS episode). Then the redirect left behind was redirected to here. See also support above, from August 2016. I can't move this over that redirect, given there were two edits there. I think it is non-controversial to move this. --doncram do ncr am 02:50, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
