"Colony"

The term "colony" is perfectly acceptable and correctly used here. For example this book refers to West Florida as a "colony" as does this. The problem with terms such as "territory" and "region" is that they are vague without context. Please do not revert again without discussion.-- Cúchullain t/ c 15:52, 28 April 2011 (UTC) reply

Eventual merge?

This article, titled as it is, ought to be about Isaac J. Cox's book The West Florida Controversy, 1798-1818: A Study in American Diplomacy ( Johns Hopkins Press, 1918).

The present content of the article should probably be integrated into the articles on Spanish West Florida and Louisiana. — ℜob C. alias ÀLAROB 18:46, 22 May 2012 (UTC) reply
