Removed this sentence, " This substance also makes water hard, and is costly and difficult to deal with." The hardness in the groundwater is largely a function of calcium, magnesium, and carbonate (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_water). I reverted a change in citations because the new citation didn't specifically address the claim to which it was attached. Here's the citation that was removed:
