This article should be renamed "WNEW (FM)", and the current redirect at WNEW should become a disambiguation page pointing here and to WBBR. 18.26.0.18 00:52, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Idiots delight did not start on WNEW, and he was not only a weekend DJ.
I removed the word "renowned" from the mention of Gary Berkowitz. In some corners, he may be renowned. But that's a matter of opinion, and Wikipedia is supposed to be objective. Goeverywhere 04:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Image:Blink.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:20, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Wasn't Dick Summer the first morning host of WNEW, following Allison Steele during morning drive time?

The Carol Miller link this page is *not* the same as the DJ Carol Miller. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.110.83.59 ( talk) 08:18, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
CBS today relaunched WNEW on WWFS-HD2 but the WNEW callsign is still assigned to Florida... which is going to be very confusing. StreamingRadioGuide ( talk) 16:01, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
I am very tempted to remove the word "beautiful dirge" from the section about WNEW's swan song due to partiality issues. Same goes for the section about the reason why WNEW failed was because instead of going wall-wall Greatful Dead when Jerry Garcia died they played Hootie. It reads like some music snob's personal opinion.
Fresh FM is no longer playing 80s, which would seem to me that they are now Hot AC not Mainstream. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gekagan ( talk • contribs) 17:33, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
