Should this page be merged with Voodoo Music Festival? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mvoth ( talk • contribs).
I still feel that listing the line up for any given year, makes this article a directory. Listing the lineup for every year, makes this article nothing that a long list of links to bands. That doesn't really tell readers anything about the festival. The fact that Austin City Limits Music Festival and Bonnaroo do it doesn't make it right. These articles are dominated by the lineup lists and provide very little real content. If the consensus is that lineups should be provided for each year, then I think its more appropriate to create a new article along the lines of List of performers at Voodoo Music Experience. Woodstock Festival does it... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.178.175.191 ( talk) 04:34, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
I removed the promotional sounding language about the selection of Lil Wayne as a headlining act from this section. It was added again by Njmaki. The user also made the infobox image much larger. I wanted to gather others opinions on how to make this as neutral as possible. Eclectek C T 03:26, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
In regard to the edits [1] of Njmaki:
I appreciate your frequent edits to the Voodoo Music Experience page but don't understand a recent, unexplained revert. I edited article so the title of the article appears as the first words mentioned (here [2]). You reverted that edit (here [3]).
It is the standard in a wikipedia article that the title is the first work mentioned in the article. If there are other names the festival goes by, they should be mentioned afterwards.
Is the festival officially known as Voodoo Experience? If so, we should change the name of the article, not just the first word. Please provide some documentation that the name has changed.
Until the name of the article is changed, do not revert it again.

New suggestion: I would edit myself but don't know how. Colloquially in the Southern US it's often called "Voodoo Fest." I think when people type that in the search it should redirect to this page. If someone can do that, that would be great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SkylinePigeon ( talk • contribs) 22:22, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
The festival has once again changed its name. Now the festival organizers are calling to Voodoo Experience. They dropped "music" from the name. See examples in news articles and festival site. [4] [5] [6] [7]. I don't see this as contentious at all. Eclectek C T 05:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
I have created an article for (AN)drew Madinc. and tried to put brackets around his name on the voodoo page (he is right under CHANT on the first column of lineup on the VOODOO 2008 page). The link did not work for some reason perhaps because I put "(visual painter)" after his name on the HIS article. SO since I did not want you to feel like I was vandalizing your page...if you could change it on your page? (AN)drew Madinc. was a performer for the years 2007/2008 on stage with CHANT both years and on the year 2007 it says Chant w/Curse Mackey however, Curse Mackey never played that year (or any). (AN)drew madinc. performed with CHANT both years however it was promoted on all the official posters that it was (R)EVO industries (the art company he started) in place of his name. Here is link to (AN)drew Madinc. [ [8]] hope this is not that confusing, and thank you -- Theother1986 ( talk) 02:42, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: no consensus. -- tariqabjotu 15:38, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Voodoo Experience → Voodoo Music + Arts Experience – This is the correct name per their website. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:43, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
My recent edit removed a large number of images from the page. The page is easier to read. Please respond if there are better images to display and I'll change. Tangledupinbleu chs ( talk) 05:28, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
