The article is very well written and cited with reliable sources. It could use a wider variety of sources, mostly from more mainstream media outlets reviewing the event, but I think overall, the references are sufficient for GA status. It appears to be complete. I can't find any edit-wars or WP:NPOV issues, and all of the images are tagged with appropriate image copyright tags (although this image has a tag that states, "The categories of this image should be checked.", which should be addressed; but I don't believe that goes against the GA criteria).
Overall, this article is informative on the event and can be promoted to GA status. Nice work! Dr. Cash ( talk) 01:27, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
While going over this article to build the Simple English Wikipedia version, I've found that many parts of it are written kind of sloppy. Particularly, the "Background" section. You guys may want to have a look at it. Wwehurricane1 ( talk) 00:57, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Vengeance (2006)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "SLAM! Review":I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT ⚡ 03:05, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
