can anyone post the origins of the name Vandenberg?
Well I am German not Dutch, but I think I know the origin. Vandenberg, or "Van den Berg" means "from the mountain". So, people who lived near or on a mountain hundreds of years ago, adopted that surname. The German equivalent would be "Bergmann". —Preceding
