This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... VIXX is a korean boy group who just debuted under JellyFish Entertainment. Normally when a new group debut in K-POP (Korean Pop), a Wikipedia page is created pre debut or on the day however, a page for VIXX hasn't become available yet. Most fan and general K-Pop listeners tend to search information about groups even if there are only few details given -- Villa2blue ( talk) 23:13, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

In the promotional singles, please change "Hyde"'s Peak Chart Position 75 to 35, because in the Gaon charts, they reached 35, not 75 http://www.gaonchart.co.kr/main/section/total/list.gaon 116.15.45.145 ( talk) 09:58, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Please add "2015: VIXX Live Fantasia: Utopia" to the section 'Concerts/Tours' because they're having a tour in Korea soon: http://www.soompi.com/2015/01/27/vixx-releases-second-solo-concert-schedule/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m86c7UrgZLI Akadust ( talk) 03:44, 10 March 2015 (UTC)

There has been a lot of edits on the members list both in the infobox and the members list in the article, editors have to revert the edits nearly every day because it is pretty much useless information and vandalism. Is there any way to protect or prevent these edits from ever happening in the first place? Alicia leo86 ( talk) 11:10, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
Dear Alicia leo86 and Random86, so in the end of it you agree that there's no need for a special section for the members list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.199.70.130 ( talk) 05:44, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
Hello, I was wondering why you removed all that information in the members section of VIXX? It looks very lacking now and not consistent. I would like that information returned. - Alicia leo86 ( talk) 08:32, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Lee Jae-hwan<ref name=kenprofile>Ken Official Profile *{{cite web | title=Ken Official Profile (Korean Site)| url=http://www.jelly-fish.co.kr/sub/artist_singer02.php?prof_id=26&num=4#a1| publisher=[[Jellyfish Entertainment]]| accessdate=May 1, 2016}} *{{cite web | title=Ken Official Profile (Japanese Site)| url=http://vixx.cjve.jp/profile/#KEN| publisher=[[Jellyfish Entertainment]]| accessdate=May 1, 2016}}</ref>
The <ref name=kenprofile /> tag copies it, isn't that sufficient enough so it's not physically there twice?
Both of the links show his date of birth and the Japanese site states their position.. For the Korean site however you need to click each members names. So you cannot tell us both of these links are invalid even though they are official websites. Alicia leo86 ( talk) 11:53, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
So you cannot tell us both of these links are invalid even though they are official websites. Please do not distort what I wrote. I am just telling you that in the link that I provided to you regarding my edit on "Hyuk Official Profile" there was no url provided for it. In the "jellyfish" url I clicked on the artists' profiles and I saw no DOB or position. Also, the official websites are not considered reliable sources for DOBs. There have been discussions over that matter involving users such as Random86 and Drmies. Dr. K. 13:12, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

That's his birthday and Position, on the Korean website http://www.jelly-fish.co.kr/sub/artist_singer02.php?prof_id=26&num=3#! it is the same if you click his name, it is also there like the following:
생년월일 1990년 6월 30일
If that is not his birthday and position then I don't know what is and they are both official websites so they should be reliable sources. Alicia leo86 ( talk) 15:17, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
"빅스" reads "Bigs", not "Vicks". There is no "v" sound in Hangul, but there is "k" sound, which is "ㅋ", not "ㄱ". So "ㅂㅣㅋㅅ" (in a linear form) would be the most accurate rendition of "vixx" (even though it would be still lacking since there is no letter to code "v" sound). Notice also that I did not include the "ㅡ" ("eu") sound, which is should not be actually pronounced in a supposedly English name. (This is a common issue both both Korean and Japanese languages where people can not end a word with a consonant and always add "ㅡ eu" sound.) DenisRS ( talk) 20:47, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
@ Abdotorg: Unless you can point to specific pre‐existing sources that corroborate the VIXX abbreviation expansion so I (or you) can reference them in the summary per Wikipedia guidelines requiring source citations to be near the content they’re sourcing (see /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Citing_sources#How_to_place_an_inline_citation_using_ref_tags), I’m going to revert your revert as I don’t understand why adding official sources for unsourced or improperly sourced material is considered controversial.
Further, the second Google hit for "VIXX abbreviation" ( http://koreaboo.com/uncategorized/the-true-meaning-behind-these-10-k-pop-group-names/) references an incorrect abbreviation expansion and finding an official source for this abbreviation is surprisingly not straightforward, especially since Wikipedia doesn’t provide those sources.
Your revert also seems ridiculous in light of "This article needs additional citations for verification." being at the top of the article since 2013.
Lastly, the Hangul citations were added in light of the "Incorrect pronunciation of the group's name?" discussion here. That transliteration is likewise not sourced.
