I'm trying to create this page, and having trouble. See the following, which I will send as mail if this does not work:
I'm pretty new to the editing process, and am trying to bring some order to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Universities_and_colleges_in_Montana At this point, there are a large number of Montana colleges not listed there at all, but the problem I am trying to work on first is the name of the main University of Montana campus in Missoula. At THIS point that Missoula Campus is (since I renamed the article) listed as one of two subcategories, under the Category article, the other subcategory being http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Montana_State_University_System -- which has four campuses under it. The page that is giving me the trouble is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:University_of_Montana That Category name needs to have "System appended to its name.
As you can see from http://mus.montana.edu/campuses.htm The University of Montana is now (since July 1, 1994) ALSO a four-campus system, and the campus in Missoula is, properly, headed as you now see at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Montana_-Missoula In that University of Montana System, there are also these three campuses: A) Montana Tech of The University of Montana (which, just to confuse the issue, has not adopted that style on its own webpage-- though it IS listed that way in the Wikipedia-- which is probably the correct way to handle that problem-- see the logo at http://www.mtech.edu/ ), B) The University of Montana -Western at http://www.umWestern.edu and C) The University of Montana - Helena College of Technology http://www.umhelena.edu/Home/tabid/349/Default.aspx As you see, the latter two campuses need wikis.
It seems clear that to avoid confusion, the Wikipedia entry for the University of Montana's flagship campus in Missoula ought to be headed University of Montana - Missoula, with that one and the three other campuses being listed under the renamed page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:University_of_Montana System -- except that I don't seem to be allowed to change category names.
There was already a page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana_State_University_System when I started work, with a non-existent link to University of Montana System. I've tried to create that University of Montana System page, and I HOPE I've succeeded this time!. I am also having trouble fixing the link to the Missoula campus in the existing page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colleges_and_universities_in_Montana.

I think I have the University of Montana System in place now. Still needed are pages for the University of Montana - Western, for the University of Montana - Helena College of Technology, and for the Montana Grizzlies. Not sure of best form for that last one. CGMullin 15:40, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
