BilCat: thanks for the note! (I forgot all about this). I see it's been added to
List of equipment of the United States Army during World War II (seems they're only branch with a WWII equipment list), it looks like a Raider Stiletto, (I'm more convinced by the scabbard if anything). I see no reason to doubt this guy, no one has challenged the image file or the edit to WWII Army list, so I guess I'll it here. If you or anyone wants to revert though, that's ok with me.
