I'm just making a wild guess here, but is the Trinitarian Order perhaps named for the
Trinity?

Of course it is, but I don't see why that's relevant to this discussion. When one says "Trinitarian", in my opinion one is most often referring to the order, not to the Trinity in general. That's the issue. --
