In the past, a 4cyl, 4 speed automatic, 4WD Camry used to be offered in Japan ONLY. It was the only AWD Camry offered. However, with the current generation (XV50), Toyota Japan has done away with all non-hybrid Camry vehicles, in Japan. This includes the 4WD Camry variant. As such, toyota.jp no longer makes any reference to a 4WD camry, and indeed, the car search tool does not make reference of it, either (4WD versions of the Corolla Altis - similar to the Corolla sedan in the US market - still exist). As far as I am aware, 4WD was never offered (after the transition to the wide box Toyota Camry, back in the early 90s), on any non JDM Toyota Camry. I propose removing this reference from the vehicle infobox, since it is no longer true.

Is there a reason why there's nothing mentioned about the MY 2015 update? I would have thought someone would have gotten around to it by now. Carguy1701 ( talk) 14:36, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
What's the correct completion of the article's "The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rated the Camry Hybrid LE as:"? Vaughan Pratt ( talk) 16:25, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
I have been very busy traveling this summer and had wanted to start a pet project of mine, giving in-depth info on development of every mass-market automobile from interviews of the respective programme personnel for each car. I promised Stepho-wrs all this info, but have been overwhelmed with the volume of items I need to dissect and new business ventures in personal life.
Biggest issue I have is, the difficulty of translating either Japanese kanji, hiragana, or etc. Two, is the need to screenshot information. I have information on development of the XV50 from 2007 to 2011, but will need to carefully extract content from each page and of course, translate to perfection. Much of my previous submissions regarding developmental stuff on Japanese cars were gathered similarly, but I have found more in-depth pieces. Currently waiting on full information for the XV70.-- Carmaker1 ( talk) 04:12, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
