This event may be a retaliation to a Ukranian doctor saying that imprisoned Russian soldiers should be castrated.

He was a volunteer from Tuva for the Chechen speicla police unit SOBR Akhmat.
Only a portion of Russian troops in Chechnya are soldiers (memebrs of the military), others are members of various police (interior ministry) units, the FSB, militias, etc.
Similar on the Ukrainian side, by the way, that is Ukrainian combatants also shouldn't be presumed to be soldiers. 5.173.81.130 ( talk) 20:41, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
