Image:Head on straight.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

The use of images not in compliance with our fair-use criteria or our policy on nonfree content is not appropriate, and the images have been removed. Please do not restore them. — Moe ε 01:57, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
I thought they had a drummer named Kevin Murphy as a permanent member of the band... I could be wrong on that, but this was the impression I got last year. Anyone else have a source on that? Hiberniantears ( talk) 16:16, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Currently, Tonic's article is in need of a free use picture of the band. If you have ever been to a Tonic concert and have a picture of the band either on or off stage, from any year or place, you would be a lifesaver if you upload the picture to Wikimedia Commons [1]. Free-use pictures from the Rock Boat, outdoor venues, backstage...anything picture you could post so we can do the band some justice and make their wiki page look better. Better yet, if you plan on going to an upcoming concert, see if you are allowed to have a camera during the performance, then snap a picture while they're performing:) Thanks for your time, and cheers. I've explained, explained, and explained, and no matter how many times I've explained why that photo doesn't work, nothing I say gets a substantial reply with User:Ontheroad111, whose entire attempts at compromise have consisted of "I'm right, you're wrong" and edit warring.
An impersonator showed up to vandalize, and when I reverted that bright-line vandalism, I got threatened by User:KrakatoaKatie with a block for an offense I never committed. She asked me to come here to discuss. I laid my issues out at Ontheroad111's talk and I see no reason to copypaste that thread here. As usual, Onetheroad111 has gone radio silent. And while I still wouldn't have violated 3RR if I'd reverted the bad image off the article, it's stuck there for a week. I suppose that if they vanish for a week again, I'll be good to remove their blurry, gigantic photo and replace it with the image that stuck for six years as soon as the full protection is up. RunnyAmiga ※ talk 20:40, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
I don't sit around checking this, so it's NOT radio silence. I have other things to do as well. I am NOT saying I am right and you are wrong. I am disagreeing with you. I think that the other photo, despite it's lesser image quality, lays out a more accurate portrayal of the band and it's founding members. I will revert this again, and keep doing so until you stop since you keep reverting to a photo that is not as informative. This site is about information and not about presentation. Please stop reverting to a photo that does not portray this band as accurately as this one does. — Preceding

My argument stands. This photo is a more accurate portrayal of this band. I do not sit around awaiting a response to this talk page so it's not, as you would say, radio silence. I am not glued to my computer. I am not sure what there is to discuss here. I believe that wikipedia is more about information then presentation and therefore believe that it is more important to have a photo that better represents the founding members and history of this band then it is to have a photo that is higher quality or different sizing for the layout (which I still believe looks fine with the current picture). If there are rules about the resolution of photos, then I do not know about that. I have not seen a rule about that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ontheroad111 ( talk • contribs) 16:04, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
