The article says "Kelly played an important role in the failed Fenian Rising of 1867 and was arrested." The next paragraph is about his arrest and rescue in the incident that led to the Manchester Martyrdom, now is this the same arrest, or was he arrested twice? If it's the same then those paragraphs should be merged. - R. fiend ( talk) 14:12, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
As Damac disregards any self-published, non-peer reviewed, non-expert source when it suits him, as can be seen here, it seems strange that this source being used in this article. It's a self published source on free web-hosting, therefore fails Damac's own high standards for sourcing. Removed and tagged accordingly. One Night In Hackney 303 12:40, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Can someone tell me who modified Thomas J Kelly's page [1] Unpublished Kelly family tree I would be interested to see the family Tree. Tuamite
Hi Tuamite, I am the genealogist for our family tree, which I hold on ancestry.com. I am the Colonel's g-g-granddaughter. As of today, there is a lot I am trying to focus on clearing up on the tree specific to Colonel Kelly. Specifically, my sources (I have a lot!) show two wives, the first from whom I descend, and the second, who is named on his new gravestone. Did his first wife die, did the divorce, etc.? If you are from Tuam, would it be possible for you to visit St. Jarlath's to see about getting copies of his school records (circa 1848-49)? If not, I plan to visit later this year to do more research to back up many stories written. EricaVeil ( talk) 19:36, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
