This film is heavily based on the novel
The Shadow of the Wind. I only watched the trailer but the details are so obviously similar: successful author disappears and starts destroying his books by burning them, a you man searching for him uncovering a conspiracy on the way, a love story, his friend who has a famous dad ... I guess there is more if you watch the whole movie.
I guess this should be mentioned in the article. But I never edited a page so I just leave this here for now. — Preceding

Leftist Politically Correct critics?
Clearly the down rating was due to the sexism in the movie.--
