Proposed for simplicity's sake. "The Call" is not being used for anything else, but the move is still obstructed.— Bjones 13:07, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Hm. That's quite strange - The Call was definitely missing at the time I edited Call to include a reference to the band. Support withdrawn. Chubbles1212 01:27, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Move not accepted - The Call's disambiguation is back. BTW, I saw a blank page initially too. Considering there are many articles with the same name, this move request cannot be completed. - Ganeshk ( talk) 04:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Could someone please fix the spelling of the name "Michael" in the image? Chubbles1212 18:52, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
We should also fix the links: the two members who link to active pages, are to different people with the same name, who presumably need to be disambiguated. -- Salvadors 22:25, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Image is wrong. I don't recall any Call album with a bloody phone, and I have them all, even the out of print ones from the Mercury years.
Most of the names from the Call of which are wiki linked do not seem to have any pages when they are clicked and linked upon. Leading one to a conclusion that this page has not been polished nor worked on in a while

The Call is a Christian rock band, isn't it? I'm surprised that this is not mentioned anywhere in the article. I'm not Christian myself, but it seems to me that this should be mentioned, at least in passing, if this is important to the band. Plus, there is no real description of what their music sounds like. BobCubTAC ( talk) 21:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
U2 has a song called Forty that is from the Psalms, are they a Christian band? Are we going to call them a Christian band? The Call never presented themselves as a "Christian" band or even a crossover band like Amy Grant did in the 1980's. Biblical metaphors are a part of American culture. I don't know that it matters unless you are trying to type cast them into the Jan and Paul Crouch crowd with big hair. I don't think they fit that. Kristinwt ( talk) 10:26, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
I could not find anything in my quick search that referenced San Fran. Everything pointed to Santa Cruz. So, I changed it. Kristinwt ( talk) 10:26, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
My recollection of The Call was as the opener for the Plays Live compilation tours which I believe to have preceded the release of "Shock the Monkey". Enjoyed their sound and style at the former open air Universal Amphitheater way back then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.230.88.193 ( talk) 07:49, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=The_Call_(band)&diff=832735047&oldid=832527455 this edit claims that WP:SELFPUBLISH is violated by the inclusion of the blog entry, http://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2013/02/26/the-call-reunion-robert-levon-been-brmc/, to support the claim that there was a two-show reunion and who the member were. It states that such sources are "largely not acceptable as sources", not that they are "never acceptable as sources". The policy then goes on to state when they are acceptable. In this case, the author appears to be a sufficiently reliable source for this sort of reference despite being a blog. The author's focus is on this era of music, and the subject is, or least was, in the area. This isn't a mommy-blogger who just mentioned this to fill out a specific day's need. Granted, it would be nice to see a more reliable source in its place. I'd be happy to take this reference to WP:RSN if challenged. Walter Görlitz ( talk) 19:20, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
I don't know how to edit these pages, but they just played, in Tulsa I think, like right now(8/28/2021 7:15 pm central US)(likely still on stage):

It was a show inducting them into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, it should be well documented, and is reliable, also Scott Musick has fliers for upcoming shows in the Tulsa area, billed as The Call, Maggies Music Box in Jenks, Oct 1st 2021. It appears that at least the Tulsa members of the band are performing shows as The Call locally.
