I took several pictures of the restaurant today and uploaded three different views:
Unfortunately, the midday sun reflecting off the new glass building on the north side of Adams Street makes for strange lighting on the facade of the restaurant. After reading 15+ years ago the original Berghoff on Adams Street had Waiters who averaged $140,000 per year incomes and that particular Institution had the highest gross revenue of any other single located restaurant in the United States, I was able to deduce the following:
Their system of having the Waiters pay upon leaving the kitchen DID result in their customers having the exceptional service they provided. The Waiters watched all their customers like a hawk. Ahould any customer walk out without paying - their Waiter paid for that infraction.
