Does anybody know the names of the predecessor firms??? I don't think it was called "Thacher Proffitt & Wood" back in the 1980's. It must have been a result of several mergers, like many other major firms.
Does anybody know if Thacher Proffitt & Wood had any outstanding bank loans? And if the remaining partners are on the hook for anything? (i.e., bank loans, office space lease, other committments, etc).—Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.156.184 ( talk) 13:45, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
