Inaccurate Registration Requirements

  • Edited the registration requirements. My reason is that the information regarding registration has since then changed. A credit card or a cell phone with SMS enabled is mandatory to sign up for Second Life.
Which is dumb :( I can't play then, though I've been wanting to. W/e. BLASTEDT•( talkcontribs) 22:35, 9 May 2007 (UTC) reply
Well, you have to verify by at least providing a credit card even for an MG account. (an used due to pronunciation of 'Emgee'. Aspengrey 16:45, 10 May 2007 (UTC) reply

Previously not opened 24/7

How can we cite this- it's no longer referenced anywhere to my knowledge except on the Teen Grid forums in the archive. Possibly someone could grab the post and then post it here?

Does personal experience count? I'm still on the teen grid and I remember when it was not open 24/7 Jorourke92 16:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC) reply

  1. Ask Blue Linden to make a post on the SL Wiki. As with the Resident vs resident issue, if the edit is made by a Linden, and taking into account that accounts on the SL Wiki are mapped 1:1 to SL accounts, getting around that whole thing of third party wikis not being acceptable sources.
  2. Ask Heretic Linden to mention the date Teen SL went 24/7 in a blog post about SL4B when referring to the Teen Grid's celebrations.
I can ask either of them for you if you'd prefer :-P

This site is about SL history, and the 8 hour limit is mentioned here: http://www.slhistory.org/index.php/Teen_Residents Can it be used as source? Tordail 20:27, 14 June 2007 (UTC) reply

Could we have the second half of the article cleaned up (from "Main Grid Similarties" (sic)) - it currently consists of statements such as:

"The First Social Scene Group,The Emo Klan,Recently have had War Logs from the newest Religious Church,The Followers of Stan. The Followers of Stan are a Religious Group believeing in the Video Gaming God Stan,And have also had war intentions with the Chrisitan Groups."

Actually, I just went on and deleted the section entirely, as it seems to be a bit useless, as the rest of the article already mentions the similarities. 24.13.93.171 18:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC) reply

Total number of projects in TSL

There seems to be avery few projects identified in TSL, whereas the Main adult Grid seems to have hundreds of islands. Can anybody give an idea of roughly how many islands/projects are going on in TSL? -- mgaved 09:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Not really sure as many of them seem to be mostly private and inacessible to a majority of residents. I counted upto around 31 projects so far looking at the world map and adding up the number of estates. -- 82.25.185.146 10:43, 29 July 2007 (UTC) reply

BM only super power?

I thought rome was the last superpower standing. I don't like them much, but I haven't seen a BM base yet, and only 1 Talon base is still active. 172.135.174.48 17:26, 9 August 2007 (UTC) reply

No, the other 'armies' are still active (at least to some extent) Jorourke92 ( talk) 13:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC) (Andrew Montagne) reply
Seriously, should this even be included? ~Aesop
The existance of armies should be mentioned as they have a large effect inworld, but names are not nessicary. Another thing to mention would be the technological side of TSL, like the ingame HUDs, weapons, armors and such. These affect the economy and need to be included. Exactly what effect do they have ?
