This was a pretty big phenomenon.... I worked on Wall street at the time and basically everyone who worked down there can remember this happening. I think they, over the course of a year, at about 200-400 people per day, talked to a significant percentage of the city. Not everyone *liked* them.... which may be why it's nominated for deletion.
