Why does the Mario theme need an entire article to itself? The substance of the information provided can easily be condensed into a couple of paragraphs and put on Koji Kondo's page. Anything that doesn't fit in there can be put onto the Super Mario Bros. article under the Music heading. But, the "Other Media" and "Concerts and Performances" stuff just seems superfluous -- filler material to make the article long enough to justify its existence. 98.16.171.68 ( talk) 07:39, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
I agree, they either need to say more about him, or find better information to fill in the article because most of it is garbage. Rsg20 ( talk) 22:29, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't Overworld Theme usually refer to the Legend of Zelda theme?-- 124.180.45.189 ( talk) 09:56, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Not sure what to do with the information on here so I'm putting it out there. Karaoke version of the Super Mario Bros. theme song to be featured on Joysound GamerPro64 01:28, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

An earlier version of this song was in a Ginger Rogers movie who's name escapes me. It's about a house full of women who keep being bothered my sailors. The main part I remember is the chorus:
They just keep on knockin'
We don't let 'em in
They just keep a-knockin' but they can't come in.
My momma ain't got no whiskey at home
My momma ain't got no gin
No one but sailors come knock on our door
'Cause no one but sailors want in!
Can't find this song anywhere, though. Just something for people to keep an eye out for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.90.43.25 ( talk) 00:53, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this before, but the main hook of the theme seems to be lifted from a track by T-Square: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2la3MlJx3s&t=63s 88.142.151.11 ( talk) 23:59, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
I already added that in the section called "Composition", you can verify that by going directly to the article.-- Germanico5468504 ( talk) 01:43, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
