What is "USD10G"? 10 grand? That doesn't seem like the best way to phrase that. - SidewinderX ( talk) 16:52, 27 November 2009 (UTC) reply

The style guideline on currencies is at Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(dates_and_numbers)#Currencies, but it doesn't help much in this matter as it gives no guidance on using abbreviations for amounts. I presume that means that you shouldn't use them. In this particular case I have no idea what "USD10G" means. Is that a gigadollar? Wouldn't that be the far more familiar "billions"? - Ahunt ( talk) 17:57, 27 November 2009 (UTC) reply
Re-reading it I am sure it was supposed to be "billions", so I have fixed it. - Ahunt ( talk) 18:09, 27 November 2009 (UTC) reply
Aww, I was hoping that it meant that the project would have cost 10 gajillion dollars. THat's my favorite! :D - SidewinderX ( talk) 19:51, 27 November 2009 (UTC) reply
