I went out of my way to add quotation marks, select only brief snippets, and correctly attribute all this material; I do not see anything in the policies here that says a collection of correctly attributed quotes is unacceptable. If this is the case, why does the site host "Wikiquote?" The Truman Library material says "This oral history transcript may be read, quoted from, cited, and reproduced for purposes of research." The National Park Service material is public domain. The second footnote is to a fact that is pretty difficult to rewrite. The history section stands alone, without the cite.
